As a lifelong Southern California resident, Cliff has resided in and around Los Angeles County his entire life. Born in the City of Los Angeles, then later moving to the City of Alhambra where he spent most of his childhood and attended Alhambra High School. He graduated from Pasadena City College with an Associates degree in Automotive Technology. He later earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Phoenix in Business Management.
Cliff began his career in the automotive industry as a mechanic working in an independent shop. In the late 1990's he entered the transit bus industry working for Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). He moved through the ranks as a Mechanic, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, and finally as a Maintenance Manager.
Today Cliff is in charge of the Maintenance Department at Orange County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (OCTA). He oversees all Maintenance Shops, Maintenance Training, Transit Technical Services, Maintenance Resource Management, as well as Facilities Maintenance which maintains five maintenance shops, seven transit centers, and a variety of other facilities.
Cliff and his wife have three children, one of which works in the Transit Industry. Cliff is also a car enthusiast with a passion for all types of vehicles.
